@Cyphoidbomb: Disruptive behavior of adding Invalid Subsections and Bizarre labels again started on this page, I thin this page needs full protection for some time.Sid95Q (talk) 17:17, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

edit

I think that other users like Sid950 are not understanding me and removing Tags like 'Main Lead' 'Main Antagonist',. I still don't understand why? Instead of making me understand, they blocked my accout! And I remember, sometimes ago, Sid950 himself had put the same tags that I am putting. Plz do block my accout again Vidhee2 (talk) 15:17, 26 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Vidhee2: Before blocking @Cyphoidbomb: left a lot of messages on your talk page where everything was explained to you but you ignored it. Please check your talk page. Can you please show me those edits where those Tags were used by me. Thanks. Sid95Q (talk) 15:29, 26 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Vidhee2: "Instead of making me understand, they blocked my accout!" I explained to you twice, in great detail, on 10 March 2018 and 16 March 2018. These comments can be found on your talk page. If you don't understand the explanations, then I don't know what to tell you, but 1) we don't need interpretive labels like antagonist/protagonist/lead/hero, etc. See WP:PROTAGONIST, which is widely embraced by WikiProject Television. The problem with this is that you are making the determination about what people's roles are in the series. This is considered personal interpretation. 2) If somebody is in the Main cast section, we assume that they're "Main" and we don't have to repeat that. If they appear high up in the list, we assume they are probably Lead. "Main Female Lead Protagonist" as you added here, is ridiculous, because protagonist implies a "lead" character just by definition. So you're basically saying "Lead lead lead female", which is just pointless. 3) We don't need to indicate the gender of the cast member. The obsession with indicating gender is a bizarre convention I've only seen in Indian film and TV articles. Note that at List of SpongeBob SquarePants characters we don't waste space indicating which cast members or characters are males and female. Much of that could be inferred through the use of gender pronouns like "he" and "she". Unless you're going to tell me that Indian readers have trouble figuring out the differences between gender, the needless labeling should be omitted. And the most important aspect of this whole thing is: if you make a change and the change is reverted, you need to open a discussion on the article's talk page or on the user's talk page to find out why and to seek out a consensus for change. Repeatedly making the same problematic changes is considered edit-warring, which is disruptive to this community editing project. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:43, 26 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

I agree with Vidhee2 because in other indian shows pages there are those tags Neelmandhub (talk) 14:26, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Neelmandhub: Can you please mention those pages we would love to edit them as per MOS:TV.Thanks. Sid95Q (talk) 14:34, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ok so the pages are: Kumkum Bhaghya , Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain, Satrangi Sasural and what is that MOS:TV (talk— Preceding unsigned comment added by Neelmandhub (talkcontribs) 14:42, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Why you are not replying Sid whatever! I don't think that you should remove tags like Main Lead. Moreover, the show has two female leads so it would be easier to people undestand who is the main antagonist and who is the main female lead. And there's no harm in it. What's youre problem Neelmandhub (talk) 15:06, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

And one more thing, why does always Chhavi Pandey name comes before the names of Rahul Sharma and Sargun kaur. Chhavi Pandey plays the role of Namrata who is the main antagonist of the show and she should be put in Recurring not in Main. She can be in Starring but not in Main. Neelmandhub (talk) 15:24, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Neelmandhub: Thanks for the information I will remove these tags from and Satrangi Sasural and for other 2 Pages, You are editing from mobile so you cannot see there is a maintenance template on both the pages you would be able to see it if you will change your wikipedia page from "Mobile" to "Desktop" version. Regarding "Tags" issue Please check Vidhee2's talk page everything is explained there in detail.Sid95Q (talk) 15:33, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ok i undestood but what about that:And one more thing, why does always Chhavi Pandey name comes before the names of Rahul Sharma and Sargun kaur. One more thing, i've removed Main and Recurring so now i've the right to put tags like Main,Supporting and Parallel leads. Let me know if i have the right. And if i have, so plz don't put Main and Recurring again Neelmandhub (talk) 16:29, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sid950, please reply me! Neelmandhub (talk) 16:37, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Neelmandhub: I would again request you check WP:TVCAST as there are some guidelines which we have to follow while editing Television related pages and as perWP:ANTAGONIST Interpretations in the form of labels (e.g. protagonist, antagonist, villain, main character) should be avoided. The WikiProject Television community prefers that editors not do this. What you consider a parallel lead might actually be considered a lead by the producers, and it's not our job to make these distinctions of our own interpretation. Please read these guidelines first. Please discuss these things here before editing next time as your edits might cause a major disruptive problem. Please note that Wikipedia has no deadline and it is not social media where you will get instant reply so don't be impatient you will get all your answers. Sid95Q (talk) 16:49, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Neelmandhub: We don't need editors adding interpretive labels to articles. This is considered original research. It's not our place to decide that one cast member is of lesser importance than another cast member. I mean I can't even fathom how you would differentiate a parallel lead from a supporting lead. It's hair-splitting, nitpicky nonsense. Instead of comparing this article to sloppily-written articles about Indian TV series, which are usually slapped together by people who have no interaction with members of WikiProject Television, why not look at a Featured Article like List of Millennium characters, as this represents the level of quality we are aiming for. Note that nobody is labeled "Main female lead protagonist", which is one of the labels user Vidhee2 added. Note that the cast list has brief descriptions which convey character prominence and personality without requiring labels. Note how there is real-world information about casting and character development? That's what we should be working toward. I don't understand your concerns about Chhavi Pandey. What distinction are you making between a member of the main cast, and a member of the starring cast. These are the same thing. If a person is credited on screen with a starring role, they belong in the Main cast section. I also don't know what your objection is to having an antagonist credited as Main. There's no rule that antagonists can't be main characters. Boss Hogg and Roscoe P. Coltrane were starring antagonists on The Dukes of Hazzard. What matters is what the producers think, i.e. onscreen credits. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:26, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Sid950:, ok you told me to not put tags like main lead etc... But can i at least put antagonist/protagonist? And why did you put Chhavi Pandey's name before Sargun and Rahul. And how you are sure that Iqbal khan is playing the role of Seith ji. It isn't proved yet.(User :Neelmandhub)
@Neelmandhub: Have you seen WP:PROTAGONIST yet? Sid95Q linked to it above. It is widely embraced by WikiProject Television. I responded to your query about Chhavi Pandey. You should probably read that response before moving further. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:13, 1 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Plot

edit

@Siddiqsazzad001: Plot is too long can you do something about it. Sid95Q (talk) 20:23, 13 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Sid95Q: We can keep the long plot for the Indian television article. Keep it. Thank you, Siddiqsazzad001 (TALK) 23:44, 13 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Sid95Q: Feel free to cut the plot from both seasons. I have merged another article (created by a user with no understanding of notability guidelines) to here. - Harsh (talk) 11:50, 12 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
