An Historical Person?
editIs it certain that this man is an historical person? Are there two contemporary reliable sources for his existence? (FairNPOV (talk) 00:27, 10 September 2020 (UTC))
- As far as my knowledge goes, he is one of the many Sangam poets listed in ancient Tamil literature. While the historicity of some of the poets are doubted or debated, the works of these people do exist. For example, Kadiyalur Uruttirangannanar is the one who composed verses 167 of the Akananuru, 352 of the Kurunthogai, and the Perumpanatruppadai and Pattinappaalai of the Ten Idylls series, all part of the Sangam literature. When it comes to historical dates, many poets and their works are yet to be dated. Bhagya sri113 (talk) 14:32, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
