Kents Cavern and Kent's Cavern

edit

Both Kents Cavern and Kent's Cavern are used to refer to the caves, but it is spelt without the apostrophe on the official website, and this form is also consistent with historical usage - the name is first recorded as Kents Hole in 1659, and is probably Celtic in origins, also occuring in Devon in place names such as Kentisbeare and Countisbury (Russell (1960), Pike (1994)). I would recommend that for consistency editors use the spelling without the apostrophe. --Safalra 14:31, 7 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Template:Megalith

edit

I've created a new template for megalithic sites, Template:Megalith, as used on Pikestones and Round Loaf. Some instructions on the template talk page, to show how to use it. Cheers! --PopUpPirate 13:29, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
