Tribals
editThere is a section called tribals which is irrelevant to the scope of the article . I think that should be moved to demographics or some other category.
Creating a section called tribals will project the district as a tribal one ! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pavithrans (talk • contribs) 21:18, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
Name
editThe historical name was "Kamma mettu" which meant Elevated place of Kammas. Till recently the railway station was also called Kammamet. It became Khammam Met and now Khammam. Sanskrit enthusiasts searched for hidden meanings. Translated Khammam as Kambham to Sthambham to Sthambadri rather than appreciating pure Telugu Kammamettu.Kumarrao (talk) 17:21, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
