Hello Sir khati is a carpenter caste which is included in vishwakarma. And a vishwakarma is not dalit.vishwakarma has brahmin origin Which is socially active ,rich and forward caste it is group of community like Goldsmith,Bronzesmith,Ironsmith,Stonemason and Carpenter included in OBC centrally. OBC is group of people who are Socially forward but through education and Income they are backward. Whereas Dalits are Garbage picker,Latrine cleaner, Gutter cleaners socially Untouchables which are included in ST/ST.Scheduled caste are socially untouchable. So the information provided in this page is totally incorrect. Please Help me by providing correct information.

Hello sir/mam The information provided on this page is completely Wrong and it appears to be on revengeful/ Biased purpose. Its totally defamation of Khati caste by calling them dalits. Khati is a Rich, respected, Socially and politically active caste which comes under Vishwakarma caste which has brahmin Origin.People of this caste are Carpenters and agriculturist (land owners) included in OBC. OBC itself states that this caste is Socially and economically Forward as well as respected.
whereas Dalits are Untouchables who work lowly as garbage pickier,Latrine cleaner,Animal skin collector, gutter cleaners. included in ST/SC scheduled caste or tribe who are socially unacceptable and untouable. Educationally as well economy very poor.
So sir/mam information on this page is complete incorrect/biased and illegal.Done totally on revengeful purpose.

Here are changes i propose as article makes completely no sense by calling khati caste a dalit. Both are hugely Different community. Therefore article is defameing khati caste and is biased.
Khati are vishwakarma by caste and brahmins only.

usage of dalit here is controversial completely. Jangid Brahmins or jangras as usually stated in haryana are different than khati as well. Kindly know the difference and change it. It's the work they did as they got laid off of their professions they used to practice earlier. Shard008 (talk) 20:53, 6 July 2023 (UTC)

- 1. remove he word, 'dalit carpenter class' from explanation
- 2. Jangra (haryana) or jangid (rajasthan) has come from one of the Saptrishis (7 rishis), Angiras=angir=jangir, where called jangid in Rajasthan and due to language accent called jangra in haryana.
- 3. Due to the works mostly people did in previous eras where they got discarded off their works i.e architecture & art, in constitutional premises laid as in obcs like other brahmin castes like bhargav Shard008 (talk) 05:44, 14 July 2023 (UTC)

Khati is a carpenter caste found primarily in Haryana. They are classified as an Other Backward Class caste, and use Jangra or Jangir title but not all Jangras are khati, some are Brahmin and some are Vishwakarma too.[1][2]

I propose merging Khati & Jangidas a single article. Under WP:Reduntant
These two articles Khati & Jangid are of same subject & can be merged for good length article. In this page Khati sources are not reliable but the sources in Jangid can be used in the latest article. Hemraj108 (talk) 11:59, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
