Is this really a genuine Round Tower?
editThe National Monument Service mentions the church, but does not say that the tower is a Round Tower. Barrow, who is mentioned in the entry for the church ([1]), states in his book: "It is the surviving western tower of a medieval church, possibly of the fifteenth century and is wholly different in structure to a round tower" (George Lennox Barrow: The Round Towers of Ireland. The Academy Press, Dublin 1979, ISBN 0-906187-04-4. Page 126).
Two other comprehensive books on Irish Round Towers do not even mention this tower: Brian Lalor: The Irish Round Tower. The Collins Press, Cork 1999, ISBN 1-898256-64-0 and Tadhg O’Keeffe: Ireland’s Round Towers. Tempus Publishing Ltd, 2004, ISBN 0-7524-2571-4.--Wanfried-Dublin (talk) 13:22, 2 May 2022 (UTC)
