The result of the move request was: moved to Killers of the Flower Moon (book) per WP:COMMONNAME (closed by non-admin page mover) Polyamorph (talk) 08:02, 29 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Killers of the Flower Moon → Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI – To avoid confusion with the film and its soundtrack. The current title may be changed to a DAB page. The title should also mirror Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison, which has an adaptation titled Orange Is the New Black. - Support but Killers of the Flower Moon (book) would be the WP:COMMONNAME. In ictu oculi (talk) 12:05, 22 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
- Support, for the reason stated above. You don't want something to be too long, but then again you have that book with a long title because of its subtitle. So just put (book) towards the end. Nicole. Oh, she's elegantly clandestine... ✨ 23:21, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
- Support, though I agree with In ictu oculi that Killers of the Flower Moon (book) is an option as well. Tenpop421 (talk) 18:32, 22 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

- Oppose: Killers of the Flower Moon is the unique combination of words chosen by the author for the book.... (The subtitle was thrown on by his editors)... It stood alone for five years until a movie based on it was released.... The movie is entirely derivative of the book.... Would not exist but for the book.... The movie will make shitloads more money than the book, but I don't think we should be swayed by that... I am not impressed that some people are confused by the difference between a book vs a movie vs a soundtrack .... Though I admit that plenty of people are just that simpleminded.... - Are you saying this should be moved to Killers of the Flower Moon (book), or it should remain unmoved? Kailash29792 (talk) 13:08, 24 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
- Should remain unmoved. Valerius Tygart (talk) 13:10, 24 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
- Support Killers of the Flower Moon (book) per WP:COMMONNAME. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:49, 24 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm new to Wikipedia so apologize in advance if I'm stepping on any toes. This summer I added information to the page about an associated novel, Mean Spirit, given that so few cultural materials (fiction or non-fiction) have been written about the Reign of Terror. That sentence has repeatedly been removed this past weekend, under the framework of being 'promotional material' and 'unnecessary in lede'. I'm finding it ironic that a wiki entry on a book about the (attempted) historical erasure of Indigenous rights is seeing the removal of associated information about a novel written by an Indigenous woman (Mean Spirit was written by Linda Hogan, who is Chickasaw). Removal, as Grann and Hogan's works remind us, is not a neutral act. Why is it ok that this has been removed this weekend, in light of the promotion of this movie, when it has been there since early summer, without prompting such concern? 69.174.173.92 (talk) 21:33, 24 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
