King of Listinoise?
editI often see Pellinore referred to as king of Listinoise (Listenoise/Listineise/Listeneise), but I've never found a source. I can't find a reference in Malory (though he is often claimed as a source); in the Morte, he only seems to be given as King Pellinore of the Isles. Would be very happy to be proved wrong: anyone got a reference? — Franey 16:07, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
- He is referred to as the King of Listenoise at least in the Prose Tristan, but I don't know if he's ever called that in Malory or not. Listenoise does appear in the Morte as the land of the Grail Castle, and Pellinore is related to the Grail kings.--Cuchullain 22:38, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
Does anyone know of a source citing that he is a descendant of St. Joseph of Arimathea, and therefore belonged to the guardians of the Holy Grail? I recall reading that once but can't find it in other sources. Stoa 20:54, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
