Comment posted on Sept 25, 2005. 1.34 pm EST: Many people have been editing this page and the Wikipedia editors have marked this page for cleanup several times. This page was created by me (Sameer) and I plan to develop it on the guidelines of other similar pages related to a particular place. The layout I want to follow most closely is that of Lowell, Massachusetts page in Wikipedia. Anyone editing this page... please first visit the Lowell, Massachusetts page and then make changes accordingly.
- There's probably no real objection to following that layout, but no editor vcan make that decision for others; if other editors prefer a different layout, they're free to try it (and if there's a difference of opinion, it can be sorted out in discussion here.
- I'm not sure why the cleanup tag was removed, as the article still badly needs it. It's still too much of a publicity piece for a company rather than an article on a town; the English also needs overhauling. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 21:52, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
- I agree that no editor can make a decision about the format. But I do urge people to have a look at pages describing other towns and try to develop a format which is on those lines. I won't be removing the cleanup tag till the editors are satisfied. As far as the contents go, some information about the company is unavoidable since the town exists because of the company. I am not trying to make a publicity piece here but the history of the town requires the mention of the company. I will make an attempt not to put overtly "publicity" kind of info about the company and also try to avoid links about the company. -- Transmogrifier 17:35, 18 October 2005 (UTC)
