A fact from Kloe (singer) appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 1 March 2023 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Kloe was a headliner at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in 2014, despite not being old enough to attend most shows there?

I think this article is excessively detailed for someone whose recorded music has never even charted. As a songwriter, her songs have more notability due the success by the other artists, but even then she appears to be (perhaps?) part of songwriting teams. Anyway, in my opinion the amount of detail give undue weight to her notability and I'm going to give the article a bit of an edit. Seaweed (talk) 17:00, 21 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Seaweed: Hello. As the article creator I wish you would have brought up the issues here before pruning out the article. I have reverted your edits as you removed a lot of content that is well-sourced and please reply here before removing content again:
In your first edit you removed "excessive detail". I am unsure why you considered the 3 sentences in the lead as such as they briefly describe her career and per WP:LEAD that is how the lead should be. I would like to know which of the things you removed you consider excessive as all of it is backed up by reliable sources. For example: her explaining why she switched to making electronic music or the fact that she taught herself how to make her own music seem to be relevant to mention for her career. I am also not sure you removed the bits which mention the shows in which her songs appeared.
Here you refer to the entire artistry section as being "very promotional in tone". I do not understand why Kloe's musical influences and how music critics describe her artistry would be considered as such as this section is just about her music. The latter are the opinions of multiple critics and they are given attribution.
In your last edit you say that her personal life does not "seems notable or connected to her music". I am not sure how to interpret this as someone's personal life does not have to be related to their career? Again, this information is reliably sourced.
Overall yes, Kloe's music did not chart anywhere but, her artistry has been covered in enough reliable sources to make her notable. Her being part of songwriting teams seems to be irrelevant as she has received coverage by herself in various reliable sources. I would also like to know why you consider the article having "undue weight" as most of the stuff you removed is information about her life or her artistry is well-sourced...
These days I'm quite interested in the whole undue weight issue in Wikipedia and just think that undue weight is being applied to Kloe's musical career. I think that article length and detail should be in proportion to the notability of the subject. Anyway, I was just passing by this article, so I'll leave it alone. Thank you for your reply. On second thought, I removed the parts which mention the shows in which her songs appeared since those are irrelevant for her career. Regards, Sebbirrrr (talk) 21:27, 26 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
