All the Lovers peak position in UK is wrong
editIt peaked at #4 and went to #6 this week. Please check official chart http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/singles/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Drmariorossi (talk • contribs) 18:21, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
Other sides
editThis should be removed because its more of a Australian bonus CD/songs,not an album by itself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.50.68.27 (talk) 08:36, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Japanese Chart
editWhat is the source of the chart positions on Japanese chart? I'm a Japanese Kylie's fan and I know she has never entered to Oricon Singles Chart (considered as Japanese mainstream/official singles chart) Top30, at least after "Light Years". In Japan it is not general to release singles of overseas artists and for instance there's no Japanese-issued single of "Can't Get You Out Of My Head". How could it get No.5 as described in the article, without physical release, moreover airplay and download point are still not included on Oricon Singles Chart (of course at that time). On Parlophone age, the only single which was physically released in Japan is "Slow" and I don't know whether that entered even Top100. In Japan, it is very difficult, almost impossible to show how a song from overseas is popular by using hitcharts because of the reason. If you want to know their popularity, it's much better to refer to Oricon Albums Chart. Ken--80.193.38.173 (talk) 02:53, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
She's entered the Japanese International charts, as said on her website. 27 weeks (almost 6 months) on the No.1 spot. --Super Trouper (talk) 14:28, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Wow
editI was looking for ideas about how to format KLF discography, and when I saw this all I could say was 'wow'. Great job! --kingboyk 14:50, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Confirmed rumor about White Diamond (2007)
editKasper Winding from Denmark is rumored to author one or some more songs for Kylie. http://www.kasperwinding.com/whatsnew_eng.htm He has been working a lot with Anne Dorte Michelsen, i. e. in her studio band, starting from the mid-1980s. -andy 80.129.126.158 00:17, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Removing Sometime Samurai and Over the Rainbow from singles section
editBoth these songs were promos only and therefore should be removed and only listed in the Promotional Singles section. Neither were eligible to officially chart. Andypeter 22:22, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Made of Glass released in Australia
editIn Australia, Giving You Up was listed on the official ARIA chart as Giving You Up/Made of Glass. FMR officially released these songs as a double A-side and therefore it has been updated correctly to Giving You Up/Made of Glass. The * (star) is listed next to the Aus chart position to note this.
Do They Know It's Christmas missing from discography
editWhy is "Do They Know It's Christmas?" not on the list of singles? I added it, but it was immediately removed without any explanation.
Why?
The list already includes several collaborative singles. It also has "Keep on Pumpin' It", which was not released under the name "Kylie Minogue". So there doesn't seem to be any logical reason to exclude the single.
Achieving a Christmas number one is possibly the most sought-after achievement a music artist can hope to achieve. To omit this monumental achievement from Kylie's discography seems unfair, and very odd, especially considering the recognition and historical significance that particular Christmas song has.
Consider: • The song was for charity, raising millions of pounds for a very worthy cause. • It sold millions of copies, outselling Madonna's "Like a Prayer" from that year. • Kylie opens the song (singing the first line alone) and is one of the three most prominent performers in the song. • Like the other artists, Kylie generously recorded the song for no profit, at just two days' notice. UPDATE: After several days with no response from anyone on this issue, I have made the corrections once again. If someone is going to bother to undo my edit then please take the time to give an explanation for why it has been undone. Grand Dizzy (talk) 20:36, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Grossly exagerated sales for Kylie's albums
editThis page has turned into a complete joke with it's total sales for Kylie's albums. How on earth did Body Language sell 7 million copes? or KM94 do 6 million? Or Ultimate Kylie selling 11 million copies. This is beyond rediculous. Can someone who has proper sources please fix up these figures, otherwise, get rid of the sales figures completely. Tables are messed up
editSomeone has edited the singles tables on this page and broken them slightly. They need looking at by someone who can use html properly. Also, the headers to the first table (year, album, etc.) don't appear on the following tables. I think they should. Grand Dizzy (talk) 19:14, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
On A Night Like This was not a UK Number 1!
editIt is really odd that there is this mistake in the discography page! OANLT was not a number one single in the UK, and for confirmation you can also check the list of UK number one singles right here on wikipedia and you will not find it in the list because it was indeed only number two if I remember correctly. Whoever listed this please go back and correct it, and any others that might be wrong. Dollvalley (talk) 00:55, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Fever
editFever has sold 9 milion copies not 6!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.18.66.24 (talk) 19:46, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Fever did sell 6 NOT 9 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.30.105.117 (talk) 14:11, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
5th single
editsomeone know what the 5th single is? I hope Speakerphone, It could be good for the album sales...
- To me the best choice of 5th single would be "Sensitized"! ---- Digital1 (talk) 00:29, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Duplicated articles?
editAre the following articles duplicates?
- Kylie's Remix Hits Volume 1 released in March 1989.
- Kylie's Remixes Volume 1 released in March 1989.
Someone more knowledgeable about Kylie's discography needs to sort out which should be deleted.Shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 00:31, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- Unhid edits. Assigned a sig for unsigned edit at Fever from Revision history of this talkpage, which hid subsequent edits (including one of mine). Also removed many unneeded line breaks.Shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 00:43, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
Splitting the article
edithey guys, have noticed that 2 new articles have been created.
Is the split justified. We need to reach a consensus on this before the article histories and stuff are merged and this one re-directed.
- Support She has released a lot of stuff and i think its justified. it also works well with Madonna, Celine Dion, Michael Jackson etc. Mister sparky (talk) 16:25, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
- I support a split, although for the time being I have redirected the two split pages to this main discography. There's no need for 3 of these and all the duplicate info. One way or the other is fine by me. - eo (talk) 18:05, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
- Strong support per other artist's discographies of same calibre. --Legolas (talk2me) 05:53, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
- Support - Just make sure when you start on it, there's a max of 10 charts allowed, not like the 14 that's on it now. Ga Be 19 06:15, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
- Support. So, are we doing this or not? --12345abcxyz20082009 (talk) 23:00, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- Support. She has enough release to warrant it. --Peter2012 (talk) 23:00, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
