editI see the footnoted libretto also credits "Feuchères". I can see why you omitted his name. It looks as though Nicole Wild thinks it is Léon Feuchère. I wonder whether Léon is related to Jean-Jacques Feuchère, who Dion-Tenenbaum says worked with Duponchel? (Update: fr:Léon Feuchère) --Robert.Allen (talk) 02:09, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

editPitou calls this guy Hygin-Auguste as does Casaglia. I did find a more complete name Hygin-Edmond-Ludovic-Auguste Cave here. Seems there is an oil portrait by Ingres at the Met in NY. --Robert.Allen (talk) 02:09, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
Date of premiere
editPerhaps this is not very strong corroboration, but the Almanach des Spectacles de 1831 à 1834 gives the date as 20 June 1832 on p. 27, which is consistent with the printed libretto. --Robert.Allen (talk) 04:11, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
- Am adding this in article, thanks.--Smerus (talk) 12:35, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
