• Not a review (and I review oldest first so I probably wouldn't touch this any earlier than about late February), but the Metro is listed at WP:RSP as being generally unreliable, and I wouldn't use the Mirror, the Sunday People or the Evening Standard on similar grounds.--Launchballer 01:20, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

DaniloDaysOfOurLives: I still see several instances of the Metro and the Mirror in the article. Can these be replaced or cut please?--Launchballer 15:09, 3 January 2024 (UTC)

I thought long and hard about it but I have to keep them in the article. This is because they add to it. The article still passes GNG without them, but the Mirror has a great interview from the actress which is great for the development, and as the Mirror is not deprecated (or considered unreliable in the sources table), I still used it. Regarding Metro, the soaps departments of Metro is separate from the main tabloid site (they even do a weekly Metro Soaps newsletter) and they get their information (e.g. spoilers and interviews) directly from the soaps publicity departments. Some of the information is repeated in Digital Spy and other more reliable sources, but I did not remove all of them from the article as then it would reduce a lot of the information which aids readers and would reduce the reception. There have been other fictional characters articles in recent years that have gotten GA status and DYK despite including Metro sources (including one of mine just a month ago). However, none of the current hooks rely on any Metro or Mirror sources at the moment. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 00:38, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

I'm with Launchballer, the sourcing and content of this article isn't gonna fly. The fact that Metro gets its information "directly from the soaps publicity departments" isn't a plus for reliability, it's a minus for independence and due weight, and it contributes to the reason that this article is packed with far more irrelevant in-universe information than any other fiction genre would tolerate. It's going to need a significant pare down on content and sourcing before it's good to go for DYK. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 00:46, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
