If WP:TLDNR ever applied to an article, this is it. Drmies (talk) 02:29, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Merge discussion

Obviously, since they cover exactly the same topic, Le Classique and Olympique Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain football rivalry should be merged, but it's just a case of determining which title should be kept and which should become the redirect, and also which content from each article should be retained. I suggest that Le Classique remain as the article and Olympique Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain football rivalry be the redirect, since "Le Classique" seems to be the common name for matches between the two sides. Opinions please. – PeeJay 21:23, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Never mind. This seems to have been dealt with by the fact that the article that used to be located at Le Classique was a copyvio. The Olympique Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain football rivalry article has now been moved to Le Classique. – PeeJay 11:36, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

We really talk about "classico" instead of "classique" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.130.82.253 (talk) 09:50, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

The name "Le Classique" is starting to become more common in French media. L'Équipe used it to describe today's match. 108.254.160.23 (talk) 00:36, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

Merger proposal

Since they cover the same topic, Le Classique and History of Le Classique should be merged. The History section of Le Classique should contain the content from History of Le Classique. Also, the content from History of Le Classique should be shortened following suggestions from Drmies (talk) to apply WP:TLDNR. Opinions please. – DroopyDoggy (talk) 20:19, 14 August 2013 (UTC).
