Objection
editFlash in the pan person. Please delete this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.128.88.132 (talk) 22:43, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
There are a lot of flash-in-the-pan people with Wikipedia entries. But I'd argue that she's notable, or I wouldn't have bothered building the article... she already had a notable media presence before this, with Plane Stupid, WDM and with her own writing. Profiles in two major national newspapers and dominating the news agenda, at 500+ articles on Google News in a day is quite some notability to add to that. Now will certainly get more attention. Fences and windows (talk) 01:03, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Seriously, let's not dignify useless people like her. She lives in a modern western country, one in which she has all the opportunity to obtain an education and develop an intellect. If the best she can do is emulate chimps by flinging things at people she doesn't like to make a point, she should go back to where she came from and make room for a deserving citizen to get an education, make a career, and raise a family. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.157.12.241 (talk) 05:01, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
AfD
editRe: Above comment, isn't this just a cheap personal attack against someone because you simply don't like her methods? There are plenty of notable actions and articles about this person. Your "opinion" is irrelevent.
- I think we need an AfD nomination for this. This has to be the clear winner for the "most pointless article" ever. Just merge her into the Plane Stupid article, or the Mandelson article, she doesn't warrant her own when - personal opinions of her aside (total b*tch). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.0.78.225 (talk) 21:33, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Please provide a proper deletion rationale, without the insults. You suggest a merge, but merging is not deletion. Fences and windows (talk) 02:45, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
So she walked away
edit....and then she was cautioned by the Met. Any chance it actually works? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.164.223.52 (talk) 02:03, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
Restored
editI restored this bio after a redirect to Plane Stupid. She was also previously a campaigner with the WDM and since 2010 has been a senior campaigner with Greenpeace UK and USA. Obviously her attack on Mandelson in 2009 is what she is most known for, but her other activism both before and afterwards has independently received coverage. I cut down the section about the custard attack as it was overly wordy. Fences&Windows 12:56, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
- The COI tag placed on this article is directed at me, from an editor who has expressed antipathy towards the subject. I have not had any association with the subject or any of WDM, Plane Stupid, or Greenpeace. I simply read about the subject in the media and expanded it based on the sources I could find.
