Deprecated Press TV
editGreetings @David Gerard:
I have read wp:PRESSTV and WP:DEPREC as it says: "the source may be used for uncontroversial self-descriptions"
I added a reference by Press TV just because of proving the notability of Leili Aaj as an Iranian Crystal Simorgh winner.
I believe that, the Press TV report in a quite important festival in Iran which is supporting from Iranian commander Hossein Salami, can not be controversial for Leili Aaj who is working for (maybe supporting) the same government as Press TV itself is.

- "self-descriptions" mean PressTV talking about itself, which is why it's on the article about PressTV. For other topics, you should use a source that isn't deprecated - David Gerard (talk) 18:15, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
- Now I better understand what it means: Press TV plus all the deprecated sources may be used only on their own articles: (NOT in articles which are not belonging to themselves.)
- I will not use deprecated sources in articles by now as they've been banned on Wikipedia. Thank you for the explanations. -- NameGame (talk) 20:28, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
