For his recent fight as of March 2016, Leon Edwards loses his fight to Jorge Masvidal. An altercation with Jorge Masvidal ensued after ufc 147 London main event. Please put this in his record history.
Altercations are not fights, stop vandalizing this page. -r

Here's a few reputable links that list Leon Edwards as 6'2" http://ufcstats.com/fighter-details/f1fac969a1d70b08 https://www.espn.com/mma/fighter/_/id/3152929/leon-edwards (He used to be listed as 6'0" in his older fights and on UFC.com he is still listed as 72 inches) Hope this all helps — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.34.136.127 (talk • contribs) 13:45, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

editThe source does not state that Leon has a black belt. It says he received his purple belt and he is happy to do so as he has beaten black belts 78.111.202.46 (talk) 07:14, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
MMA record notes section
editThe standard format across MMA articles is that the very first fight does not include "weightclass debut" in the notes section. Leon Edwards second fight is a one-off Middleweight bout and that's what should be reflected in the notes section for consistency. Please comment Cassiopeia. Claim of greatest knockout/come back in combat sports history
editWhy is the edit being reverted in regards the change from greatest in combat sports to UFC history? To assert it is one of the greatest knockouts and comebacks in all of combat sports is an odd claim, especially considering there isn't any source provided backing that claim up. Even with a source can we, without a doubt, say it beats knock outs and comebacks that happened in 79 AD, during games held within the Colosseum? As it currently stands, it falls under personal opinion rather than the goal of providing true knowledge of the subject.
Additionally, the reference used for that claim (reference 65) does not even provide evidence to say it is the greatest knockout/comeback in combat sports history. In fact, the linked article specifically mentions UFC history, which is what I am trying to adjust the wording to.
I also tried to clean up the flow of the article without making changes to content, simple grammar and understanding changes, which were also reverted. The notes on the revert do not offer much explanation. For example, on line 90, "title" is redundant as the sentence ends with "claiming the UFC Welterweight Championship." There is no need to revert that.
The only change I can agree with is what is listed in the edit notes of "more neutral wording" because of my use of "impressive."
I am creating this long winded Talk topic because I had already had this exact discussion with another editor, who agreed with me after we spoke more. I want to be a someone that is able to contribute to Wikipedia, as a newer editor, but it already feels as though haughtiness is taking priority over the true goal of providing extensive knowledge over subjects. Canacert (talk) 17:49, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- Oh, and one last thing. It is grammatically incorrect to use "all-time" in the last sentence of "UFC Welterweight Champion." In that instance, the grammatically correct way would be "all time." Confused why little things like that are being reverted without explanation. Canacert (talk) 17:59, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- Done on "UFC history" and "all time". Cassiopeia talk 15:25, 24 December 2023 (UTC)

I think Leon Edwards height should be changed. There is quite a substantial amount of proof that Leon is in fact 6'2 instead of the listed 6'0. Here are reliable websites which support this. https://www.espn.com/mma/fighter/_/id/3152929/leon-edwards and https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/21429-leon-edwards and finally the official ufc website http://ufcstats.com/fighter-details/f1fac969a1d70b08 and if you see him facing off against other fighters he is quite noticeably taller than other listed 6'0 footers. I know some fighters might be over listed but seeing how significantly taller he is that them than it leads me to believe that there is no way he is under ATLEAST 6'1. - @Cassiopeia: You responded to a similar request above, and I'm a bit confused about your rationale for rejecting ESPN (
ESPN is associated with ESPN for they have 7 year contract
)? WP:RSP says that Sherdog (which is currently cited) is considered less reliable than ESPN, so shouldn't the latter be favoured here? Liu1126 (talk) 13:42, 6 January 2024 (UTC) - Done Geardona (talk to me?) 18:23, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
