Levator veli palati

The velum palati is the soft ("veil") of the palate. The muscle Levator veli palati raises it. Palatinus means "of the palatium, a social structure rather than an anatomical one. An explication of how the widespread (standard?) substitution of palatial for palatal has come about would make an interesting paragraph in an article discussing Levator veli palati.--Wetman (talk) 18:02, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Why not muscle?

The titles of other articles for similar muscles in the same area include the word "muscle", but this one does not. Should it, or should the others not? Examples:

• tensor tympani muscle
• stapedius muscle
• tensor veli palatini muscle
