The "calamities" of Clovis II
editBrief footnote here; pretty much "Original Research", but I'm tossing it in here for other researches: The Life of Saint Eligius is a lot better for 652-673 (and its sources seem to be close to the Neustrian court). The Life doesn't mention any pestilences until after Eligius's death in c. 660, by which time Clovis was long gone. This is probably the same plague which Bede says walloped England in 664 (and Bede is another one who didn't record much about plague up to then). I'm pretty certain that this calamity of Chlothar's reign is that to which the Liber refers, and it's striking that the Liber is blaming it on the final action of Clovis's reign. -Zimriel 19:57, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Franks origin from Troy
editThis is probably the most noteworthy claim of the text and mentioned in other wiki articles. Should there not be an entry of it here? 198.217.123.227 (talk) 21:23, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
