criticism with wrong citation
editAccording to the US Ambassador to India Mr. Moynihan in the The Disclosure of Indira Gandhi-CIA Report states that
"We had twice, but only twice, interfered in Indian politics to the extent of providing money to a political party. Both times this was done in the face of a prospective communist victory in state elections, once in Kerala and once in West Bengal, where Calcutta is located. Both times the money was given to the Congress Party which had asked for it"
This was the role played by the CIA in the vimochana samaram.[[1]]

Attempts to Erase the Vimochana Samaram from Kerala History
editCommunist sponsored attempts were made to erase the Vimohana Samaram from Kerala History. On the 50th anniversary of the Anagamaly Firing, one of the popular daily newspaparer tried to portray the Angamaly firing as an aftermath of a quarrel in a toddy-shop. But all these attempts became unsuccessful as the Pople of Kerala lead a socond liberation struggle - on the 50th anniversary of the first liberation struggle - and defeated the communist party again.

Talk:Vimochana samaram/Comments
This article is obviously written by a communist to express his skewed viewpoints. Examples: 1) ...Yet, the Catholic Church declared war on the government joined by caste and communal organisations that had a vested interest in education 2) It has been widely asserted that common man's participation in the movement was resulting from ignorance, monetary benefits, misinterpretation of the issues, and community spirit rather than the actual undelying facts. |

Proposed renaming
editHowzit all.
I'm going to propose renaming this article to "Vimochana Samaram" because that's the more common terminology in India. It should be noted that many wars and internal conflicts in Africa, Asia, and South America were also referred to as "liberation struggles" or "the liberation struggle" so it's not very appropriate for this article to retain such a generic title.
