I have just been listening to the early part of the opera, without a libretto and trying to get some sort of a guide to what is going on from Wikipedia. The only score I can access is a Czech language 1945 vocal score downloaded through IMSLP, and I am able to confirm from it that the LPs I am listening are what they say they are and the labels are correctly attached to the right sides. But I am not a Czech speaker. The narrative of the action given in this Wikipedia article appears to have been adapted from an English language synopsis in the 1945 score itself, which frustratingly follows a synopsis in much better French than the English of the English synopsis, which seems more helpful than it about what happens in Act III. But the download only includes the last couple of French paragraphs. When this article comes up for revision, could someone try to find the full French synopsis and adapt that?Delahays (talk) 17:20, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
