Must Move Page to Rename Article

edit

The tree's name is misspelled; it should be "Lindsay" not "Lindsey". The creek where it was located is named "Lindsay Creek". I believe the "Tree" should also be capitalized in the title. I believe my account is too new, so I cannot to this myself. If anyone else can help, I'd appreciate it. Elviejodelnorte (talk) 02:12, 1 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

The title has since been corrected. I forgot to mention it in the message you left on my talk page, but should the "t" in tree be capitalized? We generally use lower cased titles, but if the title "Lindsay Creek Tree" is its proper name then the article should indeed reflect that. Thoughts? ~ Eejit43 (talk) 19:02, 20 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Good point. I am not completely sure what it should be. Some sources capitalize it and other sources do not. In my opinion, since there were technically many trees that grew near Lindsay Creek, capitalizing it would appropriately differentiate it from the others. I think it would be helpful to express it as its proper name so as to affirm that this is the one and only Lindsay Creek Tree, not one of many Lindsay Creek trees. Just my thoughts. Thank you very much for all your help. Elviejodelnorte (talk) 17:55, 21 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I agree, and I have moved the page to "Lindsay Creek Tree"! :) ~ Eejit43 (talk) 17:59, 21 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
