Q: Why are only a limited amount of characters represented on the page? The series has had more characters appear than the numbers represented in the contents of the page.
A: The page includes a table and character summaries that include all the principal ("main") characters and recurring characters. This is done for the reason that bit parts and day players typically do not have substantive information available to expand upon. Certain characters, such as the Engineers and Amanda Ripley, are introduced as minor elements, but are expanded upon in subsequent works.
