editHow is this page relevant? I recommend it be removed or edited to include notable content.--Bunty234 21:04, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Netrepreneurs
editNetrepreneurs focus mainly on the Internet, not exclusively. Some netrepreneurs now have started to focus on space entrepreneurship as well, and this does not make them non-netrepreneurs. NerdyNSK (talk) 15:08, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
Citations needed?
editThere are many uncited statements here. Does it warrant a banner at the top? Quark1005 (talk) 12:39, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Does Greg Tseng belong on this list?
editThe article on tagged.com is pretty impressive in spite of the controversies it's been involved in. If the article is accurate, Tseng would seem to belong here. If it is not accurate, its claims are inflated and should be challenged. Thoughts? Luitgard (talk) 06:27, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- No, those other people are famous. Do you understand what it means for a person to be famous? UnnotableWorldFigure (talk) 23:12, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Trolling?
edit"Jimmy Wales- Wikipedia - He likes to post a lot of banners with his face on them"
Is this a joke, or is this vandalism? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.200.114.235 (talk) 18:05, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
renamed
editI changed the name to "list of ...", as thats what it was. I dont see the subject being written on extensively, as entrepeneur is enough.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 21:43, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
Notability and spam
editI've removed several entries which did not have articles. This article was (and probably still is) being misused to support spam and WP:PROMO content. This is a good reason to limit it to existing articles (and more specifically, articles which are likely to stick around, as some of the company's articles were headed for deletion). WP:LSC is the relevant guideline. There are far, far too many Internet entrepreneurs out there for this list to ever hope to be comprehensive. Most Internet entrepreneurs out there are not notable, and further, founders of notable companies are also not assumed to be independently notable themselves (per WP:NOTINHERITED). For these reasons, only entrepreneurs with existing, properly sourced articles should be considered for this list. Otherwise the list becomes arbitrary and spammy. Grayfell (talk) 05:57, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
- I've gone further, and removed any entry which did not have blue-link for both the person, and at least one company. The article was being used to prop-up spam, vanity edits, and similar, and at least some higher standard needs to be established beyond mere existence, otherwise this runs afoul of WP:NOTDIRECTORY. I understand this may seem too drastic, and invite discussion. Grayfell (talk) 23:39, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
Suggested addition
editA name not currently included, but meeting the criteria as I understand it: Michael J. Saylor, founder and CEO of business intelligence, mobile software, and cloud services company MicroStrategy. I won't add him myself, as his company is a client of my firm, however I offer the following markup, should another editor agree to his inclusion:
- | {{sortname |last= Saylor |first= Michael J.}} || [[MicroStrategy]]
@Coolvk07, GermanJoe, and Grayfell: all three of you have had significant involvement on this list article within the last year or so. Would one of you be willing to consider making this addition? Cheers, WWB Too (Talk · COI) 18:13, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
- Done - this seems to be uncontroversial (briefly checked sub-articles). Thank you for being transparent about a connection to the topic (I have added an info tag on top, in case other COI-editors want to suggest other notable entries). GermanJoe (talk) 18:28, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
- Sounds good. Thanks very much, GermanJoe! WWB Too (Talk · COI) 21:05, 13 February 2018 (UTC)

I believe the link goes to the wrong Claire Barrow but am unsure how to change it. Assistance would be appreciated. Mlepisto (talk) 15:11, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
- You are correct. As we only have one article on a "Claire Barrow" I have removed that line from the table. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance.
