The "Current population" column's ranking is broken

When I click on the Current population column to rank the countries from the biggest to the lowest or otherwise, it gives me something else. What is going on? Also, why does this table have no separating lines? Is this done for the sake of phones or something? No other such table have these problems.--Adûnâi (talk) 13:55, 17 July 2019 (UTC)

Expression error

@Guarapiranga: Your recent edits might have caused a problem that I'm hoping you can fix. The article shows:

  • "|} 583606302" after the table
  • HTML instead of a pie chart at "North American population by country".
  • "Other (Expression error: Unexpected < operator%)"

There is a red link (List of countries by past population (United Nations)) in see also. That should be removed? Johnuniq (talk) 06:19, 5 November 2019 (UTC)

  Done, Johnuniq.
Although, for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to avoid inscribing the pop total there (in white) to calculate the pcts (though that's not worse than what was there before, in which all numbers were inscribed). And also figured out {{pie chart}} doesn't like Lua functions, but is happy to take #expr for an answer. Guarapiranga (talk) 05:50, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
Also, I removed that dead link, though it was there before I got here. Guarapiranga (talk) 05:51, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
