Split?
editThis article is pretty big (54K), so should it be split in some way? I'm thinking that each section in this article could be moved into its own article, and this article could be turned into a more simple list with all of the lines that links to the more detailed articles. - I'm not sure we really need 50 or 60 separate articles for each Muni line. There's a PDF link for each, and people can go to the website for more info. Zepheus 07:01, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- You can create new articles for the important lines (such as the 38 Geary or the 15 Third), but splitting this article may not be a good idea. Physicq210 18:55, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- (reviving discussion) I was thinking of splitting the article to further categorize the wikitable like categorizing the routes to crosstown, community service, to/from downtown, stuff like that. Any thoughts? —BoL 03:11, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Gateway to create
editYou may have noticed I have created lots of red links for creating bus route stubs. You can create a redirect on the 38 Geary to the B Geary if you want. You can delete/revert these links for all I care. Goodshoped35110s 03:37, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
Muni Line Launch Date
editI think people should add each new table columns for the year when each current Muni line was founded, just like in the "now-defunct lines" list. The Good Guy (talk) 04:44, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
Image request
editCan someone upload a picture of a bus running on Route Number 56 for this? --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 14:36, 22 September 2014 (UTC)

I saw one designated on a headsign at Potrero Division even during the day, but unfortunately cannot get a picture of it. Sorry. The Good Guy (talk) 23:01, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
Salesforce Transit Center
edit@Pi.1415926535: I notice some buses now stop at Salesforce Transit Center now, will this be allowed to edit in? Colton Meltzer (talk) 22:52, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- I've corrected the terminal information. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 02:25, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Pi.1415926535: i thought the city officially using name Salesforce Transit Center, but both are correct. Colton Meltzer (talk) 02:43, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

List of San Francisco Municipal Railway lines → San Francisco Municipal Railway lines – Tables of bus and train list are not a travel guide according to Pi.1415926535. This page should be renamed to proper title. Transit plannerL (talk) 02:00, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose and speedy close: This is obviously a list article. RM was filed by a now-blocked sockpuppet who has been mass-removing content to make it not a list. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 23:14, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose A list of bus routes is not a travel guide, and it looks like it's intended to be current routes so that section shouldn't have been removed. Similar lists of bus routes in the UK were deleted; it looks like this only survived because it was successfully nominated as a featured list when standards were lower. Its status as featured list should probably be reviewed. Peter James (talk) 08:44, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose per above arguments; it's a list article. Also San Francisco Municipal Railway lines is too close in title to the existing article San Francisco Municipal Railway and would cause unnecessary confusion. --

Routes 47 and 49 diselectrification
editCan anyone tell me why routes 47 and 49 were diselectrified? Clrichey (talk) 02:31, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
Anchors
edit@RickyCourtney: Anchors directly on rows of tables aren't great - they mean that the target row is at the very top of the screen and often partially cut off. That's why I put the anchors a few rows ahead. If you have a better way to do it, I'd be thrilled. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 00:50, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
- See Los Angeles Metro Bus. The trick is to top align the route column. When you link to the anchor -- it'll always be at the top of the page. Now, if your concern is including the text at the top of the section, that's a different discussion. RickyCourtney (talk) 00:59, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
