New Format (Suggestion)

edit

Hey guys, what do you think of this format for transfers? Put the transfer by club, so it's easier to see.

Real Madrid

edit

Please note what you think, if this method should apply for all clubs in the first and second devision. --mo-- (Talk | #info |   ) 12:40, 25 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Oppose

edit
  • I definitely oppose this proposition. The table format allows readers to sort by date, original club, new club or transfer fee. If we switch to this alternate format, all of that functionality will be lost. There is NO reason why this change should be made. – PeeJay 21:56, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Loan return?

edit

Why is a player returning from a loan considered to be a transfer? A loan contract expiring simply means that the player's registration reverts to his parent club, and this is implicit in the reporting of the original loan. There is no need to include loan returns in this list. – PeeJay 21:54, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Broken page

edit

OK, this page is clearly broken. I believe this is to do with too many templates being transcluded, but I could be wrong. Anyway, to restore this page to functionality, I suggest that all the Spain flags be removed and replaced by a note saying that unless there is a flag, all players and clubs should be assumed to be Spanish. I also suggest that "loan return" transfers be removed, since they're not actually transfers per my comment above. Finally, I suggest that you find a source that lists all of these transfers and use it as a general reference; you can then add specific references for the ones not listed under the general list. This is a method that has worked for the lists of English transfers, so I assume it will work for this one too. – PeeJay 00:41, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Agree, all those flags are making me dizzy! The format on the English transfers works well - hasn't that been agreed as a template for transfers? TomorrowsDream (talk) 09:05, 25 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
