The result of the move request was: moved. Per consensus, and create a list of lists at List of Microsoft video games title. – robertsky (talk) 10:55, 14 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

List of Microsoft video gamesList of Xbox Game Studios video games - "Move" The current title of this page lacks precision in representing Microsoft's overall gaming business, leading to potential confusion when compared to the List of Microsoft Gaming video games page. To address this, renaming the page to "List of Xbox Game Studios video games" is recommended, aligning it more accurately with the core entity responsible for game development within Microsoft. This adjustment not only eliminates ambiguity but also ensures consistency with existing pages, providing users with a clearer and more cohesive overview of Xbox Game Studios' contributions to Microsoft's gaming portfolio. • Oppose Not all of the games on this list were made while there a Microsoft Games-type division at Microsoft. It would be inappropriate to treat many of the early games as products of Xbox Game Studios. If one wants to split this list to include only those that were made while there was a Xbox Game Studios (including previous names), sure that would make sense, but not to the current entire list. --Masem (t) 19:59, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sure, but the majority of the games on this list were developed under the Xbox Game Studios/Microsoft Studios label. This list does not accurately represent Microsoft's overall gaming portfolio and may cause confusion. Perhaps we can change the name of the article to 'List of Xbox Game Studios video games' but separate the article into two sections: Microsoft before Xbox Game Studios (March 2000) and Microsoft after Xbox Game Studios (March 2000) to avoid confusion. • Support I agree that the current title of this page does not represent Microsoft's overall gaming business — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wariorio10 (talkcontribs) 00:33, 9 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • OpposeSupport This is a list of all Microsoft published games. Splitting the list would be fine but renaming the current list to suggest they are all from the Xbox era is not. Like other publisher lists there probably should be a list like List of Microsoft games: 1979–2000. The current title List of Microsoft video games should be like List of Ubisoft games, linking the 3 lists together (1979–2000, Xbox Game Studios, Microsoft Gaming). --Mika1h (talk) 00:50, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
I agree with this suggestion. We can create a separate article for pre-Xbox games and name it "List of Microsoft Games: 1979–2000." I am willing to do that. However, we will also need to change the name of this article to "List of Xbox Game Studios video games." I would like to remind you that future Xbox Game Studios games will continue to be added here, making the article mostly the Xbox era article. Ryan York (talk) 03:02, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
I created the list, this one can be renamed now. --Mika1h (talk) 13:06, 11 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
