Abbott and Costello
editThe entry for Abbott and Costello has a mysterious pair of asterisks. Does this mean two TV series or is it a typo? If the former, I think it should be clarified in the text. --Dweller (talk) 06:45, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

POV/Arbitrary
editThis list seems to be based on a POV/arbitrary criterion of "more than twenty". Why 20, not 10? Or 50? Is this an interval which is remarked upon as notable by reliable sources? --Dweller (talk) 16:03, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
- Until the spring of 2011, there was a list for more than 10. I split that list by creating this article because the "more than ten" list was too large at that time that I felt it needed splitting. Georgia guy (talk) 16:49, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Case Histories of Scotland Yard
editIs this a film or TV series? The linked article doesn't help. A couple of unreliable sources agree that it was a series of 'B' cinema films later shown on television, which I think means it does belong here. [1] [2](sunglasses required) Certes (talk) 19:32, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
Update: a kind IP editor has added a link to Scotland Yard (TV series) which, despite the title, has references confirming that the films were made for cinema. Certes (talk) 22:26, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
Film series and spin-off films
editHi. I can see that almost every spin-off films are included in the lists of film series here in the List of feature film series with (number) entries articles. I don't think it's actually correct, as most spin-off films are not a part of the film series, but a separate film in the same franchise as the film series. I guess that if it's a spin-off/sequel hybrid film like Men in Black: International (part of the Men in Black franchise) and Finding Dory (part of the Finding Nemo franchise), it should be included in the lists of film series since it's 50 % spin-off/50 % part of the film series. But if it's a 100 % separate spin-off film that's not a part of the film series like Hobbs & Shaw (part of the Fast & Furious franchise), Lightyear (part of the Toy Story franchise), Planes 1 and 2 (part of the Cars franchise), Lavalantula 1 and 2 (part of the Sharknado franchise), and Minions 1 and 2 (part of the Despicable Me franchise), it should not be included in the lists of film series. So I think we should either remove every 100 % spin-off films from these lists here in these articles or rename the articles where the word series is replaced with the word franchise. Split list??
editAnyone have opinions on whether it's time to split this list and include films with 31+ entries at a list of feature film series with more than thirty entries?? Georgia guy (talk) 23:58, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
- I agree. RobbyB3ll4s (talk) 03:06, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
