President Of The City Assembly is not the same thing as the Mayor. And the Novi Sad article states that Igor Pavličić is the curent mayor of the city. --Baks (talk) 17:26, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Finally somebody choose to discuss first, that's nice. It is absolutely true that "President Of The City Assembly is not the same thing as the Mayor". The fact is that Novi Sad, as well as all the other cities in Serbia, doesn't have a major, by present Law on local authorities. The Law was changed between last and previous elections, so basically only Maja Gojković was a real "major of Novi Sad", which means she was elected on direct vote, by citizens of Novi Sad. Current President Of The City Assembly, Aleksandar Jovanović was elected by Assembly, not by direct voting, and the same Assembly voted for Igor Pavličić to became the President of the Executive council of the City Assembly of Novi Sad. The wrong statement in the Novi Sad article is nothing strange, even the official site cites Pavličić as a "major", although the change in the electoral system has been made, as explained above. --Jdjerich (talk) 17:58, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK, so everybody calls Pavličić the mayor, even on TV. And the President of the Executive council of the city Assembly basically means "the mayor". President of the City Assembly is the guy who precides the City assembly, which is not the same thing as the mayor. So, Igor Pavličić is the mayor of NS, or the closes thing we have to a mayor, and Aleksandar Jovanović is something completely else. --82.208.192.1 (talk) 19:11, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
So the only think that should be done is to make a list of "majors" in Pavličić meaning of that term (also known as "Presidents of the Executive council of the city Assembly"), as all of the people in this list before Maja Gojković were also "Presidents of the City Assembly" (as Jovanović is now). Can you understand that? --Jdjerich (talk) 01:58, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Ma, baš me briga, kad bude članak predsednici gradske skupštine, tamo dodaj tog Jovanovića, ali ovo je članak GRADONAČELNICI. Pavličić je gradonačelnik. Briga me šta je bilo pre Maje, sad je on gradonačelnik i gotovo. Tako je, i ne možeš ovde stavljati imena predsednika gradskih veća samo zato što su pre oni bili gradonačelnici. Sad su to odvojene funkcije. Razumeš li ti to? --Baks (talk) 16:21, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Pitaj koga kod hoćeš, videćeš da sam u pravu. --Baks (talk) 16:21, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Čobane, this is English Wikipedia, so... "Ma, baš me briga" is not an argument. If you like to, make a new list, this one should continue as it started. --Jdjerich (talk) 17:42, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK, then continue it with the real Mayor, not some made-believe one. --Baks (talk) 10:22, 8 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
