This is an article about newspapers, not websites, or other news organizations. ynetnews is certainly not a 'black/white and read all over' newspaper which is the essence of the article. Better suited on 'List of Israeli news websites' if that is even valid, first some articles should be set up and then this whole cat fixed up too Category:News websites. --Shuki 07:59, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Alphabetise, add descriptions, etc
editWhy the revert? Flymeoutofhere 08:04, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- Two reasons; The article is a list and the commentary is certainly out of place. Please check other 'List of newspapers by country' articles. Another thing is that the numbers were not sourced. If you can provide the original reference, than I suppose that that might be okay. --Shuki 17:49, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- OK will do..and will take out the commentary. Flymeoutofhere 19:13, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Israel Today X 2
editNumber57, nothing personal, this is a list of current and defunct Israeli newspapers, not future publications. Initiatives that are announced at press conferences, do not exist yet, and might never even get printed. WP does not tolerate 'speculation' or ideas being thrown around. If Gaydamak announced a newspaper, no one would think of listing it here. Theoretically, a couple of new articles might be warranted, but might be considered NN at this time as well. --Shuki 17:17, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Yedioth Ahronoth a reliable source for BLPs?
editPlease see Wikipedia:Notice board for Israel-related topics#Yedioth Ahronoth a reliable source for BLPs?. -- Jeandré, 2008-01-05t16:19z
- Yediot is the most important, most established newspaper in Israel, by miles. It has 10% penetration of the entire Israeli population on a daily basis, compared to 0.3% for the NYT in the USA. There is no translation to explain the prominence of this paper in the Israeli news and political scene. The only comparison might be the BBC in the UK. Almost all major Israeli journalists have worked for the paper, it carries daily columns from major establishment figures in Israel. The Israeli government has a contract with them to print death notices and tenders and so on, not a week goes by without a Yediot story setting the new agenda in Israel, sometimes it seems like all the news stories on TV are sourced in Yediot. The Google news archive gives 25,000 results for "Yediot" almost all of them discussing the Israeli paper of record or its daily stories. As if to make this point the major Israeli story of the past few days is the interview that Yediot did with one George W. Bush, which became a news story around the world, (NYT article on the Yediot interview), and that is only picking yesterday. The importance of this paper eclipses that of any other in Israel or the Jewish World i general, I simply cannot see how this could not pass RS. If Yediot is not a reliable source, there are no Jewish/Israeli reliable sources. Lobojo (talk) 17:06, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Article has nothing about Ynetnews

- First off, it's a list, not an article. Next, it's about newspapers, not websites.--Shuki (talk) 19:57, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
B'Sheva
editI just came across the page for B'Sheva, but I can't find current information for it. Can anyone find current circulation data for it? Rustandbone (talk) 18:27, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
Times of Israel
edithttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Times_of_Israel
Does not exist, too new, not in Israel, why is it not here? 108.215.97.20 (talk) 13:30, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
- The Times of Israel is an online newspaper without a printed version, and thus doesn't satisfy the requirements for inclusion in this particular list article, "a list of newspapers printed and distributed in the State of Israel". -- ToE 08:34, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
Israel Post is now Maariv HaBoker
editYou see, Israel Post carried that name until 2016, when it was turned into Maariv HaBoker, a lite version of Maariv HaShavua (Maariv’s new name). The thing is, to recognize all these changes, we’ll have to change three articles: Maariv, Israel Post and this article. How do we go about that? SparksRain (talk) 12:22, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
