This article is completely unsourced

edit

I'm talking specifically about "unreleased" songs. We need citations here - I will start removing all of these in the next week or so if sources don't show up. - eo (talk) 14:04, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've removed anything not sourced which does not appear on an album. Addition of unsourced content from now on will be promptly removed. - eo (talk) 17:42, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

About demos for Rihanna

edit

People, stop this crazy adding songs which aren't really Rihanna's. Like Terminator or Emergency Room. There's no RiRi's vocals in it. for example: - Terminator is a song by: Bluu and Enpho —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.205.160.39 (talk) 08:30, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

About Emergency Room

edit

Emergency Room is not at all a song by Rihanna featuring Akon. So please remove it from the list.

Yes, "Goodbye" is (very nice song). It's also in this article. Best, --Discographer (talk) 16:34, 6 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
"Winning Women" was created as part of a brand deal with Procter & Gamble, see press release: http://news.pg.com/press-release/pg-corporate-announcements/secretr-teams-recording-artists-rihanna-and-nicole-scherzin. It's technically not unreleased, P&G released it as a free promotional download.86.30.152.100 (talk) 20:20, 20 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Who are the songwriters for Rihanna's songs?

edit

If it's a list of Rihanna's songs shouldn't the songwriters be identified? Surely that is both important and relevant.

There is no mention of the songwriters on the main page, either.

This is one of the things I generally find frustrating about Wikipedia entries on music - a lack of complete information. Yes, I've looked up individual songs to find out who wrote it (and that's not always given in other articles).

31.99.110.96 (talk) 02:54, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is what I have in mind - add not only songwriters, but producer credits also, though I'd like to do away with the source feature, as the CD booklet itself happens to be the primary source anyway. Best, --Discographer (talk) 20:46, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Yeah I have thought of doing this. Calvin Watch n' Learn 20:50, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Okay, thanks. I need to finish sourcing all the songs too, from the FLC. Calvin Watch n' Learn 20:53, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Missed songs

edit

Hey guys, I think you kind of missed out at least a couple of recordings Rihanna released: Once there is "A Child Is Born" from Now That's What I Call Christmas! 4 and secondly there is another Christmas cover Rihanna did — "I Just Don't Feel Like Christmas Without You", also released to a Xmas compilation in 2008, I think. And there is also the parody song "Shy Ronnie and Clyde 2" by The Lonely Island which I think should be considered official recording for Rihanna, as it was for Justin Timberlake or Lady Gaga. Innano1 (talk) 13:05, 8 February 2012 (UTC+2)

Yes I know but I couldn't find sources for who wrote those songs. Aaron You Da One 11:25, 8 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Nobody wrote them, they're folklore songs. As for the latter one, The Lonely Island (find their member names) wrote and produced it. Innano1 (talk) 00:05, 0 February 2012 (UTC+2)

FLC

edit

I am intrigued by the format of this list and look forward to seeing the final product once it passes FLC review. I don't believe there are any lists of the "List of XartistX songs" or "List of songs recorded by XartistX" nature with FL status, so this will set a new precedent. I had been working on "List of Rufus Wainwright songs" at one point, but the formatting is different. --Another Believer (Talk) 15:48, 17 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

List of Rihanna songsList of songs recorded by Rihanna – The lead of the article says, Barbadian singer Rihanna has recorded material for her six studio albums and has collaborated...,' so there is no logical reason why the article title should not reflect precisely what is contained in the article. To revert unnecessary move and all the resultant redirects. I note that as a FL-class article the move should have been discussed first.Richhoncho (talk) 07:57, 25 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

put a pic of memphis bleek

edit

he had her in his album before her lead single dropped or any other artists had her in their albums. so he is very relevant. and im assuming diddy didnt actually write talk that talk since he was a producer on biggie's IGASTT which is sampled on the song so remove his pic or change to one like mj/avril
