Page move?

edit

I have been away for some time, and just noticed that this page moved from List of tallest buildings in Columbus to List of tallest buildings in Columbus, Ohio a few weeks ago. There has been no discussion on this before or after the move, so perhaps there is consensus to leave the article in its present location. But still, here are my thoughts: in my opinion, the ", Ohio" qualifier really isn't needed, because Columbus, Ohio is by far the most prominent place named "Columbus". Yes, Columbus is a dab page, but this is mostly to disambiguate between the Ohio city and Christopher Columbus. Obviously, we can't have a "list of tallest buildings" in anything but a city, and as Columbus, OH is by far the most prominent place called "Columbus", the qualifier isn't needed. Such is the case with List of tallest buildings in Mobile. I am curious to hear other editors' thoughts on this issue. Cheers, Raime 02:36, 13 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I agree with Raime's concerns. First of all, the standard is for the tallest buildings lists to only include the city name (the state is added for smaller cities or for disambiguation purposes). There are few other cities that can be confused with "Columbus." This should be moved back to List of tallest buildings in Columbus. --Leitmanp (talk | contributions) 19:56, 13 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Columbus is the most prominent city by that name, but there is still the possibility for ambiguity, and there really isn't a compelling reason to have this at "...Columbus" when the parent article is at Columbus, Ohio. The trend I've seen in all other areas, from article titles to category names, is to disambiguate to include the State name. The tallest building lists may not reflect this yet, but I think it's just a matter of time before those are changed as well to match how the cities' articles are titled. But I don't feel that strongly about it; just keep in mind that if you move it back nothing really is accomplished, a bit of disambiguation is lost, and it will eventually be undone by someone else. Syntax issues

edit

Greetings, I am not the best person at editing pages. I try to copy formatting from others to help streamline appearances. I was wanting to add a "Buildings envisioned" page to this article citing the reference as well but the buildings cited appear at the bottom of the page. Any help to fix this would be much appreciated. Thanks!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kcuello (talkcontribs) 19:22, 10 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello everyone, I just changed the image for Miranova Condominiums. I did not change the size or anything else just changed it to a much more modern image of the building with perspective correction. I hope no one minds. Thank you very much Sixflashphoto (talk) 02:25, 25 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
