I'm having a hard time finding any reliable sources that would indicate that this is anything other than original research by synthesis. I'll give this some thought and see if I can find something in a reference book at home before considering a PROD tag or other deletion process. Ubelowme (talk) 21:53, 14 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

It seems to be a fairly common thing, and yes, I accept it's unreferences. I know sod all about dolls, just happened to be watching the X-files earlier and wondered whether there was a page about it, and thought there should be. -mattbuck (Talk) 23:07, 14 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion

edit

This page should not be speedy deleted as pure vandalism or a blatant hoax, because... (your reason here) --D3323 (talk) 03:29, 21 April 2012 (UTC) People might want to know what killer toy is. The Page of Killer toys didn't exist, so decided to creat Killer Toy Page for every one to see, because there're tons of killer toys in Movies and TV series.Reply

Suggestion

edit

If this article is not deleted, then this could be used to Google for reliable sources in Books, News, or Scholar Searches to include in this list. Erik (talk | contribs) 19:06, 7 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

It would be great to see other media represented, not just films. Specifically, books and TV shows (for instance, there are episodes of Angel and Middleman with killer puppets). Jenphalian (talk) 14:59, 9 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

A valid genre

edit

The article seems an informative description of a film and television genre. Do not delete.Foofbun (talk) 23:49, 7 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Article condition

edit

This article has backslid since the overhaul that showed editors that there could be a stand-alone article about this topic. In essence, much of the previous unsourced version was restored, and I've now removed that content per WP:BURDEN. We should cite everything we add to this article with a reliable source. Please do not change back to the mess that it was before. Erik (talk | contribs) 16:17, 17 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

D3323 (talk · contribs) said this, I don't think "Asylum", "Dead of Night", "From Beyond the Grave", "The Great Gabbo", and "House of Evil" are part of Killer toys." These films were added because reliable sources identify them as having killer toys/dolls. Erik (talk | contribs) 18:45, 17 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Unsourced content was added to the lead section. Without citations, the content does not belong. In addition, I removed an inappropriate external link to an open wiki per WP:ELNO, #12 specifically. Erik (talk | contribs) 20:02, 17 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I agree with Erik here. The article cannot be allowed to return to the condition it was in when it was nominated for AfD. It's essential that additions be properly sourced. -Thibbs (talk) 04:28, 19 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Annabelle

edit

Should the upcoming film Annabelle be added? The doll in the film is based off of the doll of the same name in real life and the title doll was also in The Conjuring. 216.114.107.69 (talk) 01:30, 26 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Killer toy movie list

edit

The movie list really needs a column for what the killer toy is, rather than just listing the movies. -Rolypolyman (talk) 18:15, 28 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

The Nightmare Before Christmas

edit

The Nightmare Before Christmas really belongs on the movie list. 63.231.140.53 (talk) 03:51, 22 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
