@Toadboy123 and TheLonelyPather: I did not find the hooks interesting, but it may be subjective and I would rather not reject a hook that is approved. Lightburst (talk) 18:23, 8 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
  @Toadboy123 and TheLonelyPather: I am unable to confirm the hook in the provided source. Lightburst (talk) 18:35, 8 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Lightburst: Here is an another source confirming the hook. (https://www.business-gazeta.ru/article/403718) - Toadboy123 (talk) 22:19, 8 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
That is, "In 1998, at the time of the 100th anniversary of Liu Shaoqi's birth, China sent an invitation for Alyosha to join the anniversary activities. But this invitation was confiscated by the relevant Russian authorities. [...] In April 2003, he and his wife finally set off to return home for the first time." —Mx. @Lightburst: I think the highlight of the hook is the unexpectedness. I am happy to provide some alternative hooks:
ALT2: that Liu Weining, grandson of the second President of PRC, became involved with Russian military secrecy due to his job and was denied travelling back to China?
