Accompanists
editAlthough Waters was performing with a full band in 1951, Chess did not record him with one until a couple of years later. Wight and Rothwell's "Complete Muddy Waters Discography" and the Chess 1989 Muddy Waters box set list Little Walter on harmonica and Ernest "Big" Crawford on bass. The recording does not include piano, drums, or a second guitarist. Willie Dixon first recorded bass for Waters on "Hoochie Coochie Man" in 1954. —Ojorojo (talk) 18:21, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
