too much spoilers?
editdoes the whole plot have to be spoiled here? as someone who has never seen this film, i came here to find a little bit of info about it, and found out a main character kills herself at the end. is this needed? i have no need to watch the film now as i know what's going to happen!!
to me, her suicide is a twist to the story, so shouldn't exactly be revealed to everyone.
tbh, i don't mind being spoiled, but only when i CHOOSE to be (ie when i come looking for tv series info), here i don't have that option! on the TV series pages, most spoilers are on a separate page, under the list of episodes, etc, not usually contained in the general info page for the series. i guess films should be the same.
is there no way to hide the spoilers, and you click to show them, like you now get on forums? maybe this would be a better idea for wikipedia.
i know the spoiler issue is a continuing saga here on wikipedia, but i wouldn't even get this detailed info from the movie website, as they actually WANT you to watch the films! Geeness 14:44, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- The title of the aforementioned section is "Plot Summary". I'm not sure exactly what you guys were expecting, but "summary" does imply that it will inform the reader of events pertinent to the storyline, from beginning to end. - Ecksem Diem 07:16, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
My impression of Wikipedia articles which pertain to films must contain spoilers as the purpose of the article is to give the reader a full account of the film. My advice for someone who has no desire to learn the ending of the film would be to refrain from reading Wikipedia articles which pertain to the film. Articles obviously contain far more information than what is written on a DVD cover and an article which merely reproduces what is on a DVD cover would serve little purpose at all.
