No references
editThis article has a lot of information that would have been easy to source and reference but was not. It has one source and no references other than inline cites. I am currently putting together information about Louisiana during the Civil War, especially areas other than New Orleans, and will look at this in the near future. I have no choice but to tag the article but am also giving advance notice of future work. Otr500 (talk) 21:34, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
I added references and content on strategies and political concerns in order to bring this article up to the level of others that I have expanded in order to document the significance of operations on the lower Mississippi in the American Civil War. This has been a neglected area of history and strategic study, and hopefully others will contribute to this area. Dave Arneson contributed much in the way of historical data and inspiration in this area.Frank (talk) 14:14, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
Red River campaign
editThere is no mention of the Red River campaign, as such. I think it merits a paragraph to itself. Valetude (talk) 19:20, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
