Confused

What has the following passage in the current version have to do with marriage?? "In 1761, Jean-Jacques Rousseau wrote Julie, or the New Heloise. The title is a reference to Peter Abelard, a 12th-century philosopher, who fell in love with his pupil, Héloïse d'Argenteuil. They had a child and secretly married. When Heloise's guardian found this, he had Abelard castrated. The story was well-known at Rousseau's time, after their letter had been published. Rousseau's book, Julie, is about the titular character and her tutor St. Preux. The book is written in the form of letters. Julie's father opposes the relation and marries her to another man, whom he considers more suitable.[5]" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 183.83.233.197 (talk) 01:10, 29 October 2016 (UTC) 183.83.233.197 (talk) 01:13, 29 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Why r u remove this😡😡😡 Ankurmoni2 (talk) 17:31, 17 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Per WP:V, this requires a source explicitly describing the story using the 18th century term "love marriage". From the summary at Kalyanasundara#Legend (Implored by the other gods to marry, Shiva agreed...), it's not obvious that this is the case. Belbury (talk) 17:37, 17 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

The Bangladesh Section does not seem to conform to Wikipedia Standards of Neutrality

edit

Does not seem to have a neutral point of view. Sounds disparaging of local conservative viewpoints on love marriage PolyCreator (talk) 18:07, 21 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
