editAt the beg. of 20th cent, only French was official lang in Aosta valley, these names were adapted in italian only afterwards, but originally they are in French. This article should be renamed into "Louis Carrel", this name is widely known in Aosta valley. --Simoncik84 (talk) 15:32, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
- The question is what name is most commonly used in reliable English language sources. If it can be shown that it is ‘Louis’, then certainly the page should be moved. Can you provide evidence of that? (I notice, incidentally, that he is called Luigi in both the English and the French versions of the page about the Matterhorn from the official site of the Aosta Valley region: not, presumably, a site given to anti-francophone bias.) —Ian Spackman (talk) 08:26, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
