editPLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't delete this. This is the only non-serious update I've ever made, and no one will ever see it. It's just I had to listen to his story about being (very distantly) related to the Kennedys five or six times, and I finally got fed up and replied, "Look, Charlie, we live in a republic! Get over it!"
I hope the powerful administrators out there understand.

Please don't delete Charlie. It'd be awesome if he ever actually saw the page. I'll make you a deal. If you or someone else writes up a nice article about Lummi Island, THEN you can remove Charlie, and even my stupid anecdote from the talk page. Sound good? Until then, I think this is the only think we know about Lummi Island. Zweifel 19:15, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- I went ahead and removed the Notable Residents section entirely, the reason being that none of the residents were notable. Googling for Toby Eagle yields a ridiculously low 71 hits[1], which says a lot about his notability. Oh, and did I mention that edit was done by User:Tobyeagle?
- And Charlie has been discussed before, but if you need it spelled out again: he is not notable for any reason. Not 'cause he's from Lummi, not 'cause he's a distant relative of the Kennedys, not 'cause he told you a lot of stories. That ain't how Wikipedia works. Oh, and he lives in NYC, so he's not even a resident anymore.
- And if anyone wants to provide a reference for the goat show, or at least a date for when it occurs, that'd be nice. There's nothing online about it, and it seems like it should be removed unless someone can toss an external link in for it. -- Severinus 21:25, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
This is a very sad article. Surely there must be something to say about Lummi Island.

I should frikkin hope so, considering the Native American tribe there; I dropped by to check on the etymology; I'm a British Columbian but I guess I could make a stab at a stub here, unless I can find a Washingtonian/Bellinghamite to take up the cause. But Charlie's got to go - way too personal, even if he IS related to the Kennedys.Skookum1 05:57, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
