This page was proposed for deletion by Ganesha811 (talk · contribs) on 21 January 2023 with the comment: Non-notable topic for an independent article, insufficient reliable sources can be located. Should be redirected/merged to List of The Sopranos characters. Primarily in-universe fluff. It was contested by GB fan (talk · contribs) on 23 January 2023 with the comment: can be redirected/merged as stated in the rationale, it is not a candidate for deletion |

General Information
editThis article was created by moving content from the article List of characters from The Sopranos - this move was undertaken to reduce the size of the original article. The move was suggested and agreed upon by another 2 editors. -Opark77
Crew associations taken from the article Lupertazzi Crime Family. Soldier is a term used to refer to a made man. Associate is used to refer to someone who is part of a crew in a mafia crime family. -Opark77
What is the source for Albie Cianfalone being the source of Agent Harris' info on where Phil was? This was never even hinted at. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.0.211.76 (talk) 03:34, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Primary, Secondary and Tertiary
editAs of the 27 April 2006 there are 20 main characters, 14 secondary characters and approximately 180 tertiary characters in our list. These divisions are arbitrary and open to personal interpretation. This has caused some argument on the main page in the past.
I was wondering if there are any conventions for determining who is what sort of character? I think it would be useful to try and reach a consensus on these conventions and produce guidelines for the decision on the importance of a character.
A discussion of the status of characters can be found here. I think it is best placed on the main article List of characters from The Sopranos and would urge anyone interested to join in there. -Opark77

Category tags
editCategory:Lists of characters from The Sopranos is a subcategory of both Category:Lists of fictional characters and Category:The Sopranos characters, so there is no need to explicitly tag this article as a member of those categories as well. --Paul A 07:00, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Gerry Torciano rapid rise
editHow did Gerry Torciano go from just getting made in 2006 to becoming a capo and being considered for Boss within a year? I don't think he was just "getting his button" in 06, unless it was an error on the part of the writers. Thoughts?--MistaTee 15:35, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Sopranos Jimmy Petrille.jpg
editImage:Sopranos Jimmy Petrille.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

"Mook"
editA "mook" doesn't necessarily have to have anything to do with gambling. It is a derogotory term derived from Mamluk, or "mameluke", meant to convey disgust due to a perceived lack of sophistication, intelligence, and independent action. --Shoreranger (talk) 17:44, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
Per WP:BLAR, Blanked and redirected due to a lack of reliable sources discussing the family as a whole, not individual characters. The article was seriously bloated with overdetail and in-universe fluff. —Ganesha811 (talk) 19:18, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
