About the lead image

edit

The article is about a political terminology and one of the user is putting the image of a caste group here. I tried to discuss on their talk page but it seems that without third opinion i can't reach an agreement with the user. Though I tried to tell them about MOS:LEADIMAGE, but the neutral opinion of third party is the requirement of time. My concern is putting of this image Special:Diff/1083593489. The lead itself defines that the article is about a political terminology not about the Koeri caste. Putting the image of two koeri men in this article is not relevant. Tagging RuudVanClerk. Why have you gone straight for RfC without either observing WP:RFCST (ignoring WP:RFCCAT and the big red error message along the way) or exhausting the suggestions of WP:RFCBEFORE? Just discuss in the normal manner, per Help:Talk pages. If there have been previous discussions on another page, link them. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 23:07, 19 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Previous discussion is here User talk:RuudVanClerk#About luv kush equation. RuudVanClerk is new here and surely not aware of MOS:LEADIMAGE. I need the opinion of others in order to resolve the issue soon as they are not getting what i am trying to explain here.Heba Aisha (talk) 12:35, 20 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Please refrain from patronising comments. The Koeris are an integral part of the so-called “Luv-Kush” equation it is for this reason that this photo is relevant. Thank you.RuudVanClerk (talk) 20:38, 20 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
@RuudVanClerk:, let me explain it to you in simple language. There was a group called Ustase in Balkan region. This was formed by Croats, an ethnic community of the region. Now on the top of the article Ustase, is it correct to put the image of some people who are of same ethnicity. No, because we need the members of that group, who were actually involved. Similarly, not all Koeris are in politics. And this article shouldn't have in lead the British era image of 2 people belonging to same caste. That is meaningless here. RuudVanClerk, should i assume WP: SILENCE.Heba Aisha (talk) 13:15, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

You should not. You have not convincingly argued against the removal of the picture as Koeris are an important demographic of the Luv-Kush equation and unfamiliar editors should have the opportunity to know more about them as the photo will help to do.RuudVanClerk (talk) 13:20, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
You are not giving any conclusive argument and just acting as WP: STONEWALL. The image of caste is not relevant here.@RuudVanClerk:Heba Aisha (talk) 13:30, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Stonewall would require me to go against community consensus. At this point it is just you and me discussing the topic so this does not apply. RuudVanClerk (talk) 13:32, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

RuudVanClerk Have you read my explaination above. The image of caste is not relevant in politics related articles.``Also this is Rfc section more people will be giving view in time, we are not alone here.Heba Aisha (talk) 13:35, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

And I am saying that it is relevant to the article for the reasons I have detailed above. RuudVanClerk (talk) 13:36, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
@RuudVanClerk:, We need evidence and good argument here. Not all Germans are Nazis and in any Nazi related articles, you can't put any image of people of that ethinicity.`Heba Aisha (talk) 13:46, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for identifying the problem with the image TrangaBellam. I think RuudVanClerk has got the answer as now a neutral third person has identified and made edits regarding the non relevant image.Heba Aisha (talk) 22:53, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
