Edits being reverted due to "misrepresentation of views"
editAn IP user (supposedly, Lyndsey Stonebridge herself) has reverted multiple edits with little to no explanation. Please note that, even if you are the person that the article is about, you cannot simply remove entire sections you disagree with, unless, for example, they are blatant vandalism or completely irrelevant. If the sections misrepresent your views, you are free to edit them and clarify, and/or move the discussion to the Talk page. Clearly, there is at least some truth to the current sections, and so they cannot be removed arbitrarily.

- At the same time, upon reflection, I do not think that any opinion the author may have had should be added to the page if it is not something critical to their thought. I tried cleaning it up a bit. Let me know what you think.Zqib (talk) 15:19, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- You seem to have removed the Brexit section. Normally, I'd agree with your reasoning...but she did write at least 2 articles and a book chapter about this. At the same time, pretty much every public British figure expressed their pov on Brexit, and I guess it wouldn't be reasonable to go to all their pages and add a section on Brexit, especially since the rest of the content is barely relevant. I guess I agree with your edits. Let's see what others think. RadPaper (talk) 15:36, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
Fellow of the British Academy
editAn IP claiming (in a later Help Desk post) to be the article subject attempted to add their election as a Fellow of the British Academy, cited (in their edit summary) to this source: https://www.thebritishacademy.ac.uk/fellows/lyndsey-stonebridge-fba/. I can't check myself, but this may be an entirely legitimate addition. Could be added as {{post-nominals|country=GBR|FBA}}. 199.208.172.35 (talk) 18:33, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
