"Sources"

I'm seeing 87.222.128.115 keeps adding and re-adding what essentially constitute synthesis assumptions based on their own interpretation of sources, trying to connect a specific set of ideologies (some of them are already present in the article, but others are being changed at the IP's leisure) to several randomly cherry-picked sources, which include: interviews with some Más País members, some sources from 2018 (I should note that the platform itself has been launched a mere week ago?) as well as tweets. None of them actually define the platform's ideological platform. However, it looks that just because the words "progressive", "participism" or others are slightly mentioned or hinted in some of them in very different contexts, these are used as "sources" for the platform's ideology. Aside of this, we should note the main issue about using primary sources, i.e. party member declarations and statements, to define a party's position. Also, it is remarkable that this IP user has been reverted in several other pages, i.e. European Green Party and Equo, for conducting disruptive actions. Impru20^talk 12:42, 29 September 2019 (UTC)

@Impru20: Apparently, according to the Record of Political Parties the political party registered on 7 February 2019 (Más Madrid) has renamed to Más País [1].--Asqueladd (talk) 17:07, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

This is probably due to Más País using Más Madrid as its launching platform. However, and as of now, Más Madrid is still a distinct entity functioning separately in the Assembly and City Council of Madrid ([2] [3]). Just as any given party regional branch, btw. Yet independent from whether Más Madrid is a viable entry in en:wikipedia as of now as regional branch or whatnot, this entry may be (according to the primary source) the article of a political party registered on 7 February 2019 (formerly known as Más Madrid?).--Asqueladd (talk) 17:20, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Más País was announced on 22 September 2019 and formally launched on 25 September. All sources agree on this, and the Ministry's page only shows the registering date of Más Madrid as a party (but it had been officially launched as a political platform already in November 2018). 7 February 2019 has no other meaning to either Más Madrid or Más País aside of such technicality, so showing it as Más País' launching date would be unreal. Yet again, the concern is not strictly about the creation date but about the whole scope of the article. The "technicality" entails this may be about a political party and not about an electoral coalition/alliance (we've yet to read about an upcoming coalition named "Más País", the one in the Valencian Community according to media is "Més Compromís" and is going to be Compromís-dominated). The "Más País" thing being a "merger of" those 4 parties is not sustainable as of now.--Asqueladd (talk) 17:59, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

The scope of the article is the platform that has been launched by Íñigo Errejón ahead of the November 2019 general election. Indeed, because it may be confusing as of currently to determine whether it is an actual party or an electoral alliance (or a mix of both), it is defined as an electoral "platform". Its launching resembles that of a political party, but its electoral configuration (at least in the Valencian Community and Aragon) looks more like that of an electoral alliance. Because it has not had a founding congress of its own as of yet I think we can't yet determine its exact scope beyond it being a political entity currently designed for electoral purposes; for this, I think we should wait until the presentation of lists and candidacies is finalized within a few weeks to fully clasify it into one of such categories. On the other hand, the "Més Compromís" platform seems to be evolving into a És el moment/A la valenciana-like confluence, and I think it would evolve into its own article once more details are known, but again it is too soon as of now since this has only started materialising in the last 48 hours.

PS. The "merger of" in the infobox is not actually intended to mean "merger of", but "composition". However, there is really no other field to use for such purposes in the infobox under different names, so in these cases you have to just imagine this is not an actual merger (i.e. in the sense that the parties dissolved themselves into a new entity).
