Background
edit@Gotitbro: Hi, it is regarding these changes. I'm not sure about these, since there is some apparent discrepancy regarding his background. Have a look. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:44, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Fylindfotberserk: Look like run of the mill ethno POVPUSH removals (especially with the removal of the surnames there). That MGR was a Malayali (Nair) is a well established fact, that he also later claimed to be from a specific Tamil caste is also there. I will revert these edits and also insert his self identification in the text. Gotitbro (talk) 18:12, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Gotitbro: Thanks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:23, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- It is further claimed in certain articles that his mother was an Ezhava, though I am unable to find any generally reliable sources for this, e.g. here (this nonetheless provides a fascinating account of his father's life). Thus, I have left out his mother's ancestry from the article. Gotitbro (talk) 19:38, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Gotitbro: That's fine. If not mentioned in RS we shouldn't either. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 19:58, 5 February 2024 (UTC)

- @Parthi1200: and the IPs, do not change WP:CONSENSUS version in the background section of the subject. These are per sources with self-identification by the subject himself. If you have issues, discuss here and gain WP:CONSENSUS. Thanks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:44, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
