Film tables

edit

Not a big deal for this specific page, but I'm making the suggestion that Shyamalan's films get their own table, currently there are films by John Erick Dowdle and others and more and more we're seeing different filmmakers get tables for their own films (though as it has been pointed out, here and elsewhere the homogenized table has worked in the past). I think in the future we're going to increasingly see tables more similar to discographies for filmmakers, so that's what I would vote for here, so if we get the support to do it now let's do it, if not it can stay the same for the time being. @YouCanDoBetter: Do the films have to be both written and directed by, or just directed by the filmmaker? Quentin Tarantino filmography divides them by "written or directed by" and "other film work". If we went by that, only The Vanishings at Caddo Lake would be in a different table, which would be unnecessary. In your edit, you divided them by "written and directed by" and "other film work". So, how should the tables be divided? Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 02:56, 29 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
If and when this change is made, direction would be the defining factor. Devil, for example, was Dowdle's film. Tarantino's table is one that will probably change someday, as From Dusk Till Dawn was a Rodriguez film, True Romance was Tony Scott, etc. YouCanDoBetter (talk) 03:14, 29 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
