Madiga caste is different from chamar caste.madiga caste is called matangs in North india 157.44.163.123 (talk) 05:52, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
- The source cited discusses them as though it were a unified community. The Chamar article identifies chamar as sometimes being used as a generic/pejorative term for untouchability. Wikipedia needs a reliable source to cite if there is a distinction between the two communities since the current source discusses them as if they were synonymous or overlapping designations. --Spasemunki (talk) 06:03, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
