Wrong Formula

The stated formula $1/n=1/p.n+1/(p.n/(n-1))$ is wrong; it gives $1/p$ not $1/n$. Perhaps the intended formula is $1/p.n+1/(p.n/(p-1))$ where $p$ is chosen so that $p-1$ is a factor of $n$. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrystomath2 (talk • contribs) 06:12, 10 July 2017 (UTC)

@Rishabh.rsd:I'm not a historian so I don't know what Mahavira wrote, but I can see, using algebra, that $1/p.n+1/(p.n/(n-1))=1/p$.
