H.G. Raverty
edit@Poulami Das 2001: H.G. Raverty was a colonial officer, not a trained historian - as discussed at WP:RSN and WT:IND several times, colonial officers turned amateur historians are not acceptable sources. Satish Chandra is a good source, but please cite the page number. I don't have access to the 2020 edition, but the 2007 edition doesn't seem to make any mention of "distress", "scandal" or "exile" -- it just states "Nasiruddin Mahmud, a younger son of Iltutmish, whom Balban had helped...". If the new edition has some additional information, please provide a quote. It's quite possible that Nizami's theory is wrong, but multiple other historians describe the subject Iltutmish's grandson, so it's important to mention the other view. utcursch | talk 14:48, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Utcursch: I apologize for this revert Utcursch - (diff) - this wasn't on purpose though, I erroneously restored one of your earlier revisons to revert contentious additions by Poulami Das 2001. Beg-pardon again. ∆ P&t ♀√ (talk) 19:20, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
- No problem, I figured that must have been in error, that's why I thanked you for that edit. utcursch | talk 05:05, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
